Animals need care too. See how Kelsey's life changed

Stray animals are always heart breaking to see. Whether they were born of other strays or left out in the streets from a previous owner it is devastating to see the conditions that many homeless animals live in. Unable to care for themselves, they often end up with parasites and illnesses that will take their life without intervention. This dog, despite living a very difficult life abandoned by society and struggling on the streets, remained sweet and trusting and was given a second chance at a happy, healthy life thanks to a kind stranger. You won't believe this transformation. 

This emaciated dog spent her life wandering the streets, trying to find food and shelter. 

She was clearly underweight and had parasites attacking her skin. Her fur was almost gone and she was covered in sunburns and open wounds. 

A family saw her on the side of the road and knew they needed to help. Despite a life of abuse, the dog took little convincing to get into the car. They named the dog Kelsey and from this moment on, her life was about to change. 

Despite living a hard life, Kelsey remained gentle and sweet. Her eyes seemed to show her gratitude for the help she was receiving. 

Severely underweight and covered in sores, she eagerly ate and drank while doctors came up with a plan for her. 

This tiny dog trusted doctors and snuggled up in blankets after a bath, probably feeling a level of comfort she has never known before. 

Though she had a tough life so far, and faced a difficult recovery journey, she's nothing but loving.  

Not long after she found her family, she found the joys of soft grass and cool shade.

She even learned about the joys of friendship with other animals. Before she would have to fight for food or run away from danger. Now, she has found a loving playmate. 

She also began to get closer and closer to a healthy weight and size.

Eventually, her skin healed and her soft white fur began to grow back.

Kelsey began enjoying the comforts of home life - a soft bed, afternoon naps and lots of treats judging by her little belly!

Now, she looks nothing like stray that was picked up on the side of the road not long ago. 

Thanks to one special family, Kelsey has a new lease on life and is loving every minute of it.
