Smoking Habits: Influencing a Mesothelioma Diagnosis

‘Smoking is Injurious to health’
We all know that, don’t we, but do we care for the ones who’s got the habit of smoking.
There’s more harm to it than you already know. Read along to know more.

The ill effects of smoking have long been advertised to society, but people still take up this
habit. Whether a person has been smoking for a few months or several decades,
the health effects are serious and long lasting. In fact, there is a relationship between
smoking and mesothelioma diagnosis. Learn more about this scenario so that patients
can move past an addiction and into recovery.

Cause and Effect

It's a well-known fact that smoking causes lung cancer in many patients, reports
the Cancer Council. There are dozens of toxins in just one cigarette. Inhale these toxins
on a regular basis, and cells tend to mutate.

Cancer cells come out of these mutations. The lungs aren't the only organs impacted by
a smoking habit either. In fact, mouth, throat and stomach cancers are also possible.
Many patients may not realize the cause-and-effect relationship between smoking and
cell mutation. This realization can be a sobering influence on smoking habits.

So what exactly is Mesothelioma?

Mesothelioma is a rare, aggressive form of cancer that develops in the lining of the lungs,
abdomen, or heart. Caused by asbestos, mesothelioma has no known cure and has
a very poor prognosis (medical condition).

Asbestos Influence

Smoking alone cannot cause mesothelioma. Currently, the main cause for this rare type
of lung cancer is asbestos exposure. Asbestos is a substance found in nature with
a fibrous structure. It was initially used in construction, airplane-creation and ship-building
processes as a heat-resistant material.

Asbestos was found to be a harmful substance to anyone exposed to airborne fibers.
They become lodged in the lungs where they harm the tissue. The healthiest person in
the world can come down with a lung cancer when asbestos is involved.

Worsening the Prognosis

Mesothelioma is difficult to treat because it remains in the lining of the lungs. If a person
smokes, the prognosis isn't always a positive one, states Tobacco Free Life. The damaged
cells need nutrients and oxygen to possibly fight off the cancer. Constant toxins inhaled
through smoking only makes recovery more of a challenge. Patients should speak with
a doctor about their smoking habits so that they can be rightfully addressed.

Seeking Help

Multiple symptoms accompany a mesothelioma diagnosis. Patients will have a customized,
treatment plan drawn out for them by a doctor. Treatment might involve radiation or
chemotherapy, depending on the cancer's status. Some patients opt for palliative care in
advanced cases.

If mesothelioma is discovered relatively early in its development, it's possible to live a long life
with current treatments. Unhealthy habits that include smoking must be dealt with head on.
Recovery won't be successful if smoking continues. The toxins are just too strong.

Learning more about asbestos, smoking and mesothelioma is the best way to improve
a lifestyle. The hardcore facts may influence a person to quit smoking and put health first.
With support groups and nicotine substitutes available today, mesothelioma patients can
find comfort in an improved lifestyle tomorrow.

When a person purchase a small packet of chips or food substance, he assure himself by
verifying the packaging as well as the constituting ingredients, why not take a moment to
analyze your habits. Habits not only affect a single person but everyone around you. Get
a good habit today and live the live in a new way. Life’s short, live healthy and don’t forget
to smile everyday.

The Power of Writing Down Your Goals

Every time I meet with a new client, I have them do one thing before anything else: Write down their personal goals, their professional goals and their physical goals.

I’ve been writing down what I want since the beginning of my career, and honestly, it’s so amazing because everything I’ve written down has happened. I started this habit in college because I loved Oprah, Deepak Chopra, The Power of Now.

7 Signs You Should Leave Your Job (Sooner Rather Than Later)

We all get content at times, especially at a job that pays decently well and comes with a good group of co-workers. Maybe your job isn’t what you really want to do for the rest of your life, but you start convincing yourself, “This is fine—it’s not my dream job, but it’ll do for now.”
And there’s nothing wrong with feeling content or comfortable at your job.

Six Things the Most Productive People Do Every Day

Ever feel like you’re just not getting enough done?
Know how many days per week you’re actually productive?
People work an average of 45 hours a week; they consider about 17 of those hours to be unproductive (U.S.: 45 hours a week; 16 hours are considered unproductive).

Function on Less Than 6 Hours of Sleep

I don’t have a multi-million dollar company (yet), but I’m one of those CEOs who function on 3-5 hours of sleep.
No, there aren’t any drugs involved, nor is there poor management (as far as I know). It’s a variety of things.

Motivate Yourself Now

It’s 2:00 p.m. Your lunch sits snugly in your stomach causing fog to settle over your brain. Your energy is low. Thought processes stop mid-stream. You know what needs to get done, but your body is resisting it.
We can all relate to this feeling, but the similarities stop there.
Some people fall prey to chronic procrastination and fail to turn their intentions into actions. Others consistently power through low-energy moments and lead more impactful lives.
What separates these two groups?

You are always Stronger than you think

This is Humanity, This is being YOUrself

Chennai, one of the busiest and populated metropolis city with 9 million residents in India. On December 2015, the city faced heaviest rainfall, considered to be the most highest in the past century. This rain was no ordinary, not the kind it rains for few hours and then stops. It rained and rained for days together with constant dark clouds above the city.

Within hours rain water started to flood in few places, as the intensity of the rain got higher and higher... the Chennai city was sinking!
The water level rose to 10 feet in some areas while the dams and rivers flooded like ever before.
Nearly 400 people have died and over 1.8 million people have been displaced.
No media covered much and no politicians came.....
